Job Description: We're looking for an experienced Systems Architect to join our team in Albany, NY. As a key player, you'll be involved in designing, coding, and fine-tuning large-scale applications.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

Analyze, support, develop, and implement business applications.
Support specific programming languages (COBOL, SQL, Java) and database management systems (DB2 z/OS, DB2 LUW, IDMS, SQL Server).
Provide performance analysis, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and benchmark design.
Implement backup and recovery strategies and phased implementation/conversion planning.
Design data synchronization methodologies for a data warehouse across multiple platforms.
Act as a liaison between Data Management, business customers, and application development staff.
Create cost-effective solutions to meet strategic business requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Systems Architect: Shapes computerized system architecture, focusing on breaking down components, interactions, and interfaces to meet specific requirements.
Expert (84+ months): Seasoned professional with extensive industry experience capable of guiding large teams.
Experience (84 months):
Government Taxation organization: System design, development, maintenance, and end-user support for Tax & Revenue Accounting Systems.
Designing DB2 or IDMS database structures for enterprise taxation or revenue collections systems.
IBM DataStage, IBM DB2 for z/OS, IBM DB2 for LUW, Websphere Process Server, IDMS, COBOL, IBM MQ Series, CICS, and APS in a mainframe environment.
Application performance analysis and tuning.
