The role

We have an exciting roadmap ahead, and as a Senior Frontent Engineer, you will be instrumental in bringing new features to life. You will look beyond code and see the bigger picture - directly influencing Algomo's technical vision and shaping the future of our product.

Ideally you will have full stack experience with very strong UI/UX skills, but we are happy to consider those with primarily frontend experience.

Algomo is extremely product focussed, and you will work very closely with the product, engineering and business development team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build features that delight our customers - exploit feedback loops, iterate quickly, and help the rest of the team to do the same.
• Be a mentor to your fellow engineers - promote good technical practices and help improve our ways of working.
• Work closely with the CTO to define and drive Algomo’s technical vision, ensuring our long-term architecture remains aligned with overall business/product goals.

Qualifications / Skills
Must-haves

• 5+ years of industry experience as a Frontend or Full-stack engineer. You must be able to demonstrate significant impact that your work has had
• Extensive knowledge of React and the React ecosystem
• Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML and CSS
• A demonstrable eye for design and good UX, and the ability to iterate quickly
• Experience in dealing with ambiguity, turning abstract concepts and customer feedback into valuable features
• Familiarity with testing frameworks, e.g. Jest/React Testing Library/Playwright

Nice to have

• Experience building SaaS products, particularly in a start-up environment
• Experience using Next.js and familiarity with SSR
• Experience using Tailwind CSS
• Page loading time & performance optimisation experience (e.g. Lighthouse)
• Full-stack experience, including Node.js

• Competitive Salary (£60-£100k cash) plus meaningful Equity (0.3-3%) depending on experience
• Flexible working hours - as long as the work gets done, we're happy.
• Flex work: 2 -3 days per week at the office + 3 months work from anywhere. Can do full remote for the perfect candidate, as long as you are UK tax resident.
• 32 days holiday per year in total (you can swap bank holidays if you want to)
