HIOD IT is looking for an experienced, passionate and friendly Help Desk Support member who is dedicated to providing outstanding support and maintenance for our external clients.
The ideal candidate will need to be efficient, eager to learn and possess a high level of attention to detail. Also you will have the ability to multitask, prioritise and self-manage in this role.
The successful candidate will be a part of small tight-knit highly skilled, who has the ability to work in multiple IT functions such as, IT Support, help desk, project support and IT administration. You will work with an experienced and technically qualified team working together to facilitate the constant growth and expansion for HIOD IT.
Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate should possess the capability to communicate using plain language that is easily understood by our diverse clientele and users who do not have a technical background.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Update systems with new releases of updates and patches
- Provide IT Support (1 & 2) to external users utilizing our internal help desk software
- Support and maintain clients computer systems (Windows Server, XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11)
- Provide general help desk support to our clients network and Head Office locations to ensure issues are resolved or escalated in a timely and accurate manner
Experience and Skills Required:
- Excellent problem solving
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience
- Experience in networks (LAN, WAN)
- Server and networking skills
- IT Support Troubleshooting
- Networking knowledge
- 2 Years of IT systems/administrator experience
- To Apply you must have: Australian Citizenship / PR Registered
Highly regarded:
- 2 years+ working with Microsoft 365 - including Teams, Office 365, Mobility & Security.
- Active Directory, Azure AD
- Proven track record of managing office 365
- Experience with: Ubiquiti, Cisco, Sophos, Fortinet
- Voice and telephony experience, preferable 3CX
- Datto RMM experience or similar
