The position:

We are looking for a passionate individual to join our mission-driven team to head the development of a new technology platform to support brain health. While initially standalone/working with contractors, this role has a high potential growth trajectory to take on the technology leadership role within the company. This is also an exciting greenfield opportunity to build a new product from scratch to support a multi-billion-dollar market.

Expectations:
Full-stack application development:

• Full-stack development of the platform in an API-first architecture
• Mastery of JavaScript or TypeScript and React (or another modern, enterprise level web or app development software language) required, knowledge of Python preferred Back-end engineering:
• Architect the technology infrastructure for the platform, including scalable HIPAA and SOC2 compliant data storage and processing
• Knowledge of APIs and relational databases required
• Knowledge of data analytics and AI based systems preferred, such as for the identification of patients at risk of cognitive impairment from large healthcare datasets, preferred
• Experience of working with healthcare datasets potentially helpful Project management:
• Work with a UX designer and product team
• Be driven with a high level of attention to detail
• Recruit a team of contracted engineers to support development

Candidate Attributes:

• Experienced in full-stack development projects across 1 – 3 companies, ranging in scale from early to more mature
• Product-minded engineer experienced managing, scoping, and delivering on development projects, including agile
• Knowledge and experience in the development of software in the healthcare context preferred, including HIPAA and other regulatory compliance standards
• Experience working with APIs and relational databases
• High level of attention to detail
• Self-motivated, ambitious and fast-paced
• Ability to perform under minimal supervision with accountability for specific objectives, and work in a rapidly changing, ambiguous start-up environment.
• Passionate about improving and innovating in healthcare
• Startup experience highly preferred
