As the Grant Writer, you will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to (1) Identify grant opportunities and (2) Handle the application process. You will play a critical role in securing funding to support our initiatives. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, a strong understanding of grant application processes, and the ability to convey our organization's mission effectively.

  • Job type: Part-time Volunteer
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: ≥ 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • Grant Research: Identify and research potential funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies, that align with our organization’s mission & goals.
  • Proposal Writing: Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents, that effectively communicate our needs & objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure all grant proposals and reports comply with funder guidelines and requirements.
  • Grant Management: Track and manage grant application processes, including deadlines, submission requirements, and follow-up communications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Fundraising Manager to gather relevant information, data, and program details necessary for developing accurate and persuasive proposals.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive records of past, current, and prospective grants, including submission timelines, funding received, and contact information.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase grant funding and diversify revenue sources.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in or graduated from a Bachelor’s program
  • Experience: 0+ years of relevant experience

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
