IT Support Engineer

About the Role

As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing employee assets including laptops and other devices, and supporting and maintaining our security and compliance initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations, best practices, and internal policies. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, implement, and monitor security controls, procedures, and policies and ensure smooth provisioning and management of employees' IT assets. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify and address security vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage employee laptops to ensure that the right configuration and necessary software are installed and systems are up to date
• Providing technical support to troubleshoot any laptop issues.
• Setting up the VPN to restrict critical vendor access and infrastructure access
• Owning application and infrastructure security - SAST / DAST / IAST
• Conducting security Access reviews for all critical vendors
• Managing security and other policies and reviewing policy and compliance
• Owning and managing known security vulnerabilities
• Owning pen testing
• Accountable for SOC2 / other compliances
• Owning security reviews of all the vendors we work with
• Access management and review across all vendors

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of creating OS builds from images on Laptops
• Identifying and implementing tools to ensure laptops are up to date with the latest security configuration
• Identifying and implementing internal IT asset management processes
• Familiarity with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on security practices
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS)
• Experience conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits
• Solid understanding of network security, cloud security, and secure coding practices
• Experience in a remote work environment is a plus
