*About the role *
Currently, we are a team of 30 people, and Weaviate continues to grow. As we enter the next phase of our people & culture strategy, we are faced with new focus areas and challenges that come with our company's growth. We are looking for someone who is excited to take on these challenges, professionalize existing people processes, and design and implement new initiatives.

Together with the head of People & Culture you’ll work on designing and creating people programs such as the company playbook, our remote strategy, and our onboarding - which are strategic in nature. You will also be responsible for the execution with the goal of creating a great people experience - which is operational by nature.

You’ll spend time on the following:

Building modern people initiatives such as…

• Design, improve, and operationalize the onboarding process, covering both strategic and operational aspects such as ordering swag boxes, and creating accounts.
• Design and implement a remote strategy, including documentation and communication plans, and advocating asynchronous work practices.
• Create a publicly available company playbook, in line with our open-source spirit.
• Professionalize our hiring process including creating interview kits.

*Other projects you’ll spend time on... *

• Leveraging our ATS, HRIS, and EoR platform to streamline our processes and tools that drive the successful growth of Weaviate.
• Taking charge of all things people engagement, from administering and maintaining programs to reporting on results and insights, to keep our team motivated and thriving.
• Serving as the first point of contact for all team members.
• Collaborating in the development of experiences for all of our amazing people.

You will collaborate with our Head of People & Culture with most of the bigger initiatives. For the operational type of tasks you’ll have full ownership and responsibility.

What we are looking for

• You are passionate about People (& Culture) topics.
• You’ve got around 3 years of People Operations experience, and you’re just getting started.
• Alignment with our company values.
• You have Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to connect with others, stay organized, and manage tasks.
• You're all about modern people practices vs traditional HR.
• You're a pro at working independently, rocking it asynchronously, and you like to share this async wisdom with others.
• Juggling different priorities in a fast-paced start-up.
• You’ve got that magic touch when you can translate strategy into practical execution.
