About this role
As a Web Developer at Weaviate, you'll be more than just a developer. You'll be part of our design team, working closely with designers, engineers, and marketers to bring their ideas to life. You will be participating in brainstorming sessions, architectural design discussions, and roadmap planning, where your expertise and ideas will be valued from the very beginning of every project.

Working alongside our engineering and marketing teams, you'll have the chance to create user-focused and easy-to-use web interfaces, such as websites, UIs, consoles, and dashboards. You'll design, implement, and maintain the key libraries and components of our applications' front-end, developing UI test strategies and pipelines, while ensuring that the UI is both performant and pixel-perfect.

As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring clear communication with freelance developers and designers, setting project scope and deliverables, and proactively resolving any issues that arise. You'll have the freedom to be creative, experiment with new technologies, and continuously learn and grow your skills.

What we are looking for

• Using your expertise in CSS to create visually stunning and pixel-perfect websites that align with business requirements and design specifications.
• Experience with CMS (content management systems) to build and maintain websites and web applications.
• Utilizing git to manage version control and collaborate with other developers.
• Leveraging your skills with React, VueJS, Svelte, D3.js, or similar technologies to build dynamic and engaging user interfaces.
• Collaborating with designers and stakeholders to ensure the user interface and user experience design align with business requirements.
• Demonstrating an understanding of SEO (search engine optimization) best practices to ensure websites are optimized for search engines.
• Communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to understand requirements and deliver high-quality work.
• Display a strong attention to detail to ensure that websites are functional, responsive, and meet industry standards for accessibility and usability.
• You’re passionate about creating insightful analytics dashboards.
• Experience in UI/IX Design is a big plus.
