Full-Stack Engineer

Redwood.rent is on a mission to revolutionise the way people experience ‘home’ around the world. We believe who you live with is just as important as where you live, so starting with the UK, we’re taking on the £54Bn rental market and helping the 1.6M+ people who can’t afford to live by themselves. To start, were building a dating app for renters!

The Role

We’re looking for a full stack developer to join our founding team and help build version 2.0 of our app from the ground up. You should have:
Experience building system architecture from scratch for highly scalable mobile web apps

• Experience with cloud platforms
• Knowledge in database design & management
• Preference towards backend but capable of delivering a strong front end at times
• Have a good understanding of cybersecurity & user privacy best practices (previous experience complying with GDPR is a bonus)
• DevOps experience including continuous integration and delivery
• Work side-by-side with the founding team as well as contribute to establishing long-term goals
• Be open to managing teams of front and back end developers as we expand in the near future

Experience

• Front End: React Native, CSS, HTML
• Back End: JS / Typescript, Node.js or Turf.js
• Database & Web Framework: Postgres (or MySQL), Express (or equivalent)
• What will set you apart: prior experience developing dating apps or working with map APIs

As Redwood grows and raises more money imminently, so will your salary. Redwood’s rate of growth is completely in our hands and with our amazing advisory board and connections in Silicon Valley, we’re primed to grow big and fast!

• You're a self starter and highly motivated to build an incredible product from scratch. This won't be the right role for someone wanting a salary and to clock off at 6pm
