SEO Specialist

Steady Demand is a team of Google Business Profile and social media stars looking for help with our new SEO department!

As an SEO Specialist at Steady Demand, you will be asked to:

• Communicate with clients to establish goals
• Perform Technical and GBP SEO audits, including link analysis, keyword analysis, competitor research, and general ranking analysis for both web and Google local search
• Create citations when appropriate
• Modify on-site content via CMS such as Wordpress
• Coordinate with our team of writers to create on-site content
• Optimize Google Business Profiles

To Succeed Here, You Should Have:

• A passion for local SEO, technical SEO, and content marketing
• Excellent, professional written communication skills. Bachelor degree or higher preferred.
• 2+ years of technical SEO and GBP optimization experience
• Excellent, professional written communication skills (Yep, we said it twice, and no, we're not sure if that comma after excellent is correct)
• Surgical attention to detail
• A deep understanding of ranking factors and SEO best practices
• Working knowledge of popular software including GSC, GA, Ahrefs, Workspace, and Whitespark or other reporting tools
• Working knowledge of Content Management Systems (e.g. Wordpress), HTML, and CSS
• Ability to create simple graphics when necessary
• Excellent organizational and time management skills (daily deadlines)
• We will ask you for a sample SEO audit completed by you prior to the interview

To Cause a Celebration During Your Interview, You Should Have:

• A demonstrable track record of successful SEO projects, including GBP
• A history of insightful speaking/stage appearances
• Your own SEO company
• Experience as a contractor
• Deep understanding of landing pages, conversion rate optimization, and lead funnels
• Understanding of basic copyright laws (citation and attribution)
