The VP of People will be responsible for planning, leading, developing, and coordinating policies to ensure legal compliance. The VP of People will also oversee the implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. In addition, they will develop and maintain general HR policies and norms that promote the company's values and support the tactical needs of each department. This role will work collaboratively with other business operations contributors, executives, and managers across the company. Initially, the role will require many hands-on activities spanning a wide spectrum of HR activity, and then it will grow into managing a team as more resources are required to stay on top of team priorities. This will require on-site office time up to 5 days a week.

Job Duties:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage recruiting processes, interview kits, hiring tools, and training plans for all departments.
- Manage new resources and consultants that influence the HR team.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the HR team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to maintain company comp bounds for different roles and departments.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluation processes with team leads.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Promotes the company's mission and values in HR process and norms.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, retention, training and culture.
- Develops and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Oversees monthly payroll processing and any payroll related conflicts.
- Administers and oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Works with 3rd party immigration attorneys to carry out immigration activities as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree is a bonus.
- At least five years of HR management experience is required.
- SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certifications required.
Salary Range
$90,000 - $150,000 (depending on experience)
