Sr. Data Engineer

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for a software development company with offices in Barcelona.

You will be a member of a dedicated team of professionals committed to mastering complex data transformation and insightful visualizations.

Responsibilities:

-Design, architect, document, and build data pipelines that support data models for use in Snowflake, leveraging dbt and Airflow.
-Develop and implement policies for data performance and security that align with regulatory and governance standards.
-Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to stay informed on data security trends and issues.
-Ensure data accuracy and completeness in engineering pipelines, facilitating reliable data for analytical dashboards.
-Proactively monitor and troubleshoot technical issues, providing immediate solutions in high-priority situations.
-Research, evaluate, and present MVPs or proof of concepts to support technical exploration and solution testing.

Requirements and skills:

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or similar field.
-Between 4-10 years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
-Proficient hands-on experience with SQL database design.
-Demonstrably deep and advanced level understanding of SQL and analytical data warehouses.
-Experience with Machine Learning operations
-Proficient using Python.
-Experience with Azure
-Experience in dbt, Apache airflow, and Snowflake.
-Experience extracting/querying/joining data sets at scale.
-Proficiency in Spanish language.
