About the job
Role Summary:
This role is a part of the Finance team at TransFi. This individual will become a single point of contact for managing bookkeeping & accounting and treasury management for our global operations.
The ideal candidate is an independent, high-achieving individual having detailed knowledge of accounting & bookeeping globally and treasury operations in fintech / payments institutions.
We are looking for candidates with over 3 plus years experience in the banking, payments or fintech industry
What you'll do
The role will require the professional to
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the finance & accounting department including
- Cash receipts & payments
- Revenue recognition & accounting
- General ledger
- Payroll & utilities
- Expense planning and management
- Budget preparation & variance analysis
- Assets reconciliation
- Monitor & analyze financial data and produce financial reports & statements (including P&L, balance sheet and cash flows)
- Treasury operations, including over weekends
- Establish and enforce proper expense policies and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Ensure adherence to regulatory dictates while fostering the company’s business growth
- Support CEO and CFO in fund raising activities, as required
Required Experience
The applicants should have
- Over 3 years’ experience as accounting manager, accounting supervisor, controller or treasury manager
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- In depth knowledge of principles, policies, and practices related to payment operations as well as expertise in digital payment processing.
- Fully certified Chartered Account
- Ability to manage relationships internally (with key stakeholders) and externally (bankers, auditors)
- Willingness to work in an early-stage company
- Financial services / payments industry background preferred
- Must be an “Owner & Entrepreneur” in the highest degree in the deployment of Company resources
