This is an opportunity to work and assist in leadership of a lean team working at the intersection of media and technology with the ability to impact users across the world. There's a mix of taming legacy technology and debt as well as crafting effecient paths, workflows and products on new technology.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical products and code ownership,
- Deliver mentorship and team leadership,
- Ensure formulation and revisioning of technical standards,
- Have ownership of designated technology roadmap and architecture,
- Have ownership of deployment workflows and production infrastructure,
- Provide continuous software development and deployment,
- Optimise performance and database queries,
- Hands on development and pull requests,
- Lead code review process,
- Ensure overall code quality and delivery of assigned tasks,
- Deliver documentation.
Technical Skills
- Experience in Docker, Elastic and AWS a plus
- Experience in management of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Advanced knowledge of NodeJS, GIT and Agile Development
- Deep understanding of software engineering/computer science fundamentals
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, REST & GraphQL
- Proficiency in data migration and risk mitigation
- Exposure to DevOps, machine learning, computation models and optimisation
