Description:
Seeking an experienced R&D software engineer with a hardware background to assist development teams with software quality planning and testing, test system design, DevOps, and troubleshooting of customer reported issues. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, desire to work hands-on in a lab environment, and flexibility to work on a range of topics.
Responsibilities:
o Document, develop, and execute test procedures (manual and automated) based on specific product requirements and use cases for software, firmware, and hardware components.
o Provide technical support for development teams by troubleshooting, reproducing, and isolating defects/issues encountered internally or externally.
o Work with internal teams to develop temporary workarounds for short term responses and verification of permanent resolution of defects/issues.
o Produce documentation to report results of each round of testing and utilize automated processes and tools for defect tracking and generation of quality metrics.
o Own various tasks within the product life cycle to ensure compliance with internal or external requirements.
Requirements:
o BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
o Strong professional and interpersonal skills including exceptional customer service, creative problem solving, effective written and verbal communications, with the ability to self-manage.
o Working knowledge of modern software development and testing practices.
o Experience with C, C++, C#, Visual Studio for test development.
o Experience in working with DevOps tools and automation processes.
o Background in electronic instrumentation and instrument-based electronic tests
