Production Support Engineer

Course Specialization: Not particular about specialization or degree, high aptitude and interest is the key. Experience in managing production systems is mandatory.

*Roles & Responsibilities: *

(As it's a start-up, there is no limit or defined boxes for roles and responsibility. Below roles will be predominantly what will be undertaken though, *if the profile is of interest to you and you join us, training and guidance will be provided throughout till you are able to learn what is needed *)

• Deployment of applications in the production environment
• Ensuring all the applications and systems are up and running, managing all installed systems and infrastructure Handling production support issues
• Tracking our support emails and chat channels
• Oversight of production support systems to ensure that all incoming requests are successfully executed and raising a flag/correcting if not, ensuring high levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Working with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
  
• Creating and maintaining auto deploy scripts (shell, ansible scripts)
• Contributing in increasing system efficiencies and reduce human intervention time on related tasks
• Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure high levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Understanding and taking proactive measures for frequently occurring issues
• Keeping relevant documentation up to date
• Drive automation to reduce the manual efforts performed by the team
• Enable monitoring/monitor all the alerts for application and take necessary action to fix the issue

• Good working knowledge in noSQL DBs like mongodb. Need to be very comfortable with JSON data representations
• Good working knowledge and experience in auto deployment of software on the cloud
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux OS, and shell scripting
• Like working in small teams but are comfortable when they get bigger
• Are comfortable with the uncertainties that come with working in a start-up
• Play well with others
• Are extremely self-motivated and can motivate others around you
• Experience and Knowledge of programming or scripting languages is an advantage
• Flexibility required for Production Support Operations
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask following priorities and adhering to SLA's
