Frontend Developer

Sitare Foundation, founded by Shilpa and Amit Singhal, believes in the power of education and the impact it can have on the lives of people. In today’s world, good education is not always accessible to the underprivileged in our society. There is tremendous potential and talent in these children, all they need is access to good education. We believe in finding the brightest and most intellectually gifted underprivileged children from across India, and providing them with a great education.

The challenge of educating underprivileged children is daunting, but that does not and will never deter us. We are taking a scientific, step-by-step approach to impact lives, families, and societies through education. We aim to educate 50,000 students by 2050. We know that after going through our seven-year program, our students will shine like Sitare, and inspire millions in their own communities.

Roles And Responsibilities
Develop high-quality websites for Sitare foundation, which includes external and internal sites.
Brainstorm requirements from our team and collaborate with UI/UX designers to come up with effective website designs.
Develop websites and software tools from end-to-end - incl. database, backend and frontend.
Use React and CSS libraries to create beautiful frontend experiences.
Maintain and enhance existing websites that we own. This includes several web pages as well as interactive internal tools.
Analyze and report the performance of each website. Use analytics software like Mixpanel and Amplitude to give insights into user behavior.
Should have experience of working with a team and as an individual contributor as well.

Make quarterly plans for deliverables, communicate them with various stakeholders and execute on time.
Should understand the need and operating style of our foundation and hence curate content according to the seasonality.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
3+ years of professional frontend development.
Strong UX design skills, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Skilled with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
Deep experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks such as React.
Ability to rapidly prototype and adjust in response to customer feedback
Solid coding practices including peer code reviews, unit testing, and a preference for agile development.
