Role:

Magic is looking for a Product Management / Business Operations MBA Intern to drive key insights into our strategy and product roadmap. This person will partner with senior leaders and the broader cross-functional team to glean data insights into our business. The Business Operations Intern will also conduct deep research into pricing decisions, product roadmap features, and our competitive landscape. This is a great role for someone who wants to learn how to run a business from the ground up. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable and skilled at crafting a thoughtful, data-oriented plan, and coming up with insights to improve those metrics. The ideal candidate is based in NYC and can come into our Manhattan office 1x/week.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, scope, and execute upon strategic initiatives to drive customer value and grow monetization

• Work in close partnership with a cross-functional team (Product, Engineering, FP&A, Marketing, Data Science) to advance key business priorities

• Drive analyses aimed at developing a deep and holistic understanding of product performance, growth drivers, and trending

• Communicate key insights to senior executives and the cross-functional team

• Contribute to broader corporate initiatives both on an on-going, and on an ad-hoc basis

 Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree 
• 1+ year at a top MBA program

Preferred Qualifications:

• Quantitative: experience building financial forecasts and conducting analyses on excel.
• SQL, experience a plus.
• Concise communication: Able to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership. 
• Practical business understanding with genuine passion for technology, big data, and/or entrepreneurship. 

• Proactive: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations

• High-energy, team-first attitude: Motivated to work hard in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business

• A team player who works collaboratively and effectively across a diverse set of functions, backgrounds, and working styles

• A strategic thinker with excellent business judgment and strong product intuition

• A strong leader who can corral a group to execute against an initiative while rolling up his or her own sleeves
