Digital Content Manager
Strong candidates will have been admins of multiple content management platforms with some HTML/CSS experience, led email marketing production and list management efforts using multiple email service provider and database management systems, actively managed organizational social media platforms, and edited and created images, animations, videos, slide shows, and brochures or reports for professional audiences.
Key responsibilities:
Web Production
Post new content developed by program staff on multiple existing sites, using typical CMS/hosting platforms, occasionally in HTML/CSS

Support website development, including the integration of separate sites into unified, organization-wide web property
Assist with web content development, including building templates and creating and editing visual assets (i.e., images, videos)
Monitor and traffic inquiries and site feedback
Social Media Management
Under guidance of program staff, develop and post Climate Central-originated and other content as basis for postings to engage Twitter followers and Facebook/Instagram followers, as well as audiences on other platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, YouTube)
Conceptualize and work with designer to develop novel graphics, animations, and videos for posting
Analyze and report on social media metrics; advise program leaders on best-performing content and tactics
Email Campaigns Management
Work with Climate Matters team to distribute camera-ready graphics to participating broadcast meteorologists and journalists
Develop responsive emails--often containing dynamic content--within typical ESP platform, occasionally using HTML and CSS
Oversee additional email and integrated social media campaigns from conception to delivery
Manage multiple subscriber lists and ensure consistency with master databases
Contribute to marketing strategy employed in email and social media campaigns to increase engagement with content and increase list-serve subscribers
Improve upon current email templates within published guidelines and ensure consistent branding across multiple email campaigns
Conduct A/B testing to enhance email campaigns
Cross-cutting
Assist with visual content production and editing, including graphics, animations/interactives, videos, report design and typesetting
Regularly track, report, and review performance metrics across web, email, conventional and social media to identify trends and areas of improvement
Other duties as assigned
Essential qualifications
Demonstrated facility with content management systems, email and list management software, social media, and graphic design packages
Experience leading website maintenance, email creative and production efforts, organizational social media efforts, and design projects
Applied knowledge of performance measurement, testing, and reporting
Deadline-driven, well-organized, and flexible
Highly collaborative and comfortable working across teams in leading, contributing, and supporting roles
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) is a plus
Genuine interest in climate science and science communications is a big plus
Location
Climate Central’s headquarters are in Princeton, N.J. Some office presence is preferred, but not required, other than occasional staff retreats.
