CONTRACT PROGRAMMER POSITION, PART-TIME

NOTE: The founder is currently "tapped out" on personal funds for business development, and seeking funding. So at this point we are really offering nothing, and don't expect to hire anyone in the immediate comings months (this is being written in November, 2023). This ad remains posted because we are seeking resumes on the optimistic assumption that we will find funding.

Need a contract programmer/coder to complete some existing code for an Android apk. The software is not a front-end to a web site; it is an autonomous application employing various deep hardware within the cell phone. You must be thoroughly familiar with the Android apk, Java, Kotlin, GUI construction, persistent storage, and hardware level control of a standard Android cell phone.

While you can work from home, we have found that fairly frequent, face-to-face meetings are essential for smooth communications -- SO YOU MUST BE LOCAL TO THE WASHINGTON, DC metro area, NO EXCEPTIONS AT ALL. Hourly compensation to be negotiated, but commensurate with going rates for experienced coders. Prefer to work/contract with individual programmers, not coding companies or shops.
