Voxela is the leading autonomous care management solution that provides safety, security and quality of living for people in senior care and hospitals. We're building a soft real-time machine learning system that does real-time perception in an everyday world. Our system is vision only, and every facility we deploy must process terabytes of video per day from hundreds of cameras, touching on a multitude of interconnected models. We're pushing the limits of what video comprehension can achieve, and at scale.
As a Technical Support Intern, based out of our Japan HQ, you will work on leading-edge cloud-managed IoT camera technology while providing troubleshooting, design, and integration assistance to our growing base of enterprise customers. Interns work on the same issues and projects as full-time Technical Support Engineers, so if you are interested in making an impact and learning valuable career skills in a highly technical real-world environment, come join us!
This is a Internship remote role located in Japan and involes some travels.
What you'll do here:
1) Troubleshoot network, camera hardware and software issues related to the Voxela platform.
2) Provide best practice design and integration expertise to enterprise customers.
3) Communicate technical matters to customers both orally and in writing.
4) Own customer issues from creation to resolution.
5) Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to test new products and identify bugs.
6) Contribute content to our Knowledge Base.
7) Lab testing and team projects.
Your skillset:
1) Third or Fourth year college student working towards a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related
technical discipline: Networking, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity from an accredited college.
2) Coursework with a focus on computer networking, Linux, computer systems, Python or other coding language.
3) Ability to communicate complex technical matters both orally and in writing.
4) Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5) Ability to work within a team environment.
6) Ability or prior experience in working with CCTV or IP camera.
