Job Description:
Savion Ray is looking for talented students in their third or fourth year of studies, interested in an internship in an international environment with a strong interest in creative and digital communications. You will be involved in both public affairs and communication work and support projects in one or more of Savion Ray’s various client practices.
This is not a position where you will have ample time to observe colleagues' work before you get a project. You will be working on real client briefs from day one, conducting broad research and intelligence assignments. Specific responsibilities may include internet research, mailing coordination, database development, and follow-up for client events (media or participants). You will learn by doing from a small but capable team. You will be interacting with and learning from everyone from juniors to management.
We will expect that you listen and understand how our company and clients work. At the same time, we will give you space to be yourself and express your awesome creativity, and support clients’ vision. We strongly believe conceptual and creative thinking makes ideas stand out and we give tender love and care for those seeds to grow.
Your main tasks will be:
- Monitoring policy and regulatory developments impacting relevant sectors;
- Contributing to Savion Ray’s Public Affairs strategies and actions;
- Supporting the implementation of Public Affairs activities for our clients;
- Events attendance and reporting;
- Conduct research and analysis to understand client landscapes;
- Write press releases and feature articles for dissemination through print media;
- Participate in ongoing projects for clients and provide assistance with tasks such as media monitoring, institutional calendar, regulation, and legislation updates;
- Conduct audits and stakeholder mapping;
- Provide support to media relations activities (e.g. producing media lists);
- Support client event organization (e.g invitation, logistics);
- General admin support tasks (e.g. update databases, document editing).
Requirements:
- Knowledge of public relations, community relations, advertising, and journalism including media technical requirements and practices;
- Knowledge of the practices and techniques of oral communications in developing and presenting briefings to print and broadcast media;
- Good knowledge of the EU decision making process;
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills;
- Strong research abilities and analytical skills;
- Good social and organizational skills;
- Strong presentation and communication skills, including social media;
- Fast learner, autonomous, confident, positive, good diplomatic skills;
- Degree in European Studies, Political Science and International Relations, or related field.
- Degree in Journalism, Marketing is an asset.
