Job summary
· Overview:
The Packaging Engineering&NPI Program Manager drives the schedule and execution of end to end packaging design and manufacturing production of eero retail packaging. Your role starts from the packaging design concept phase and continues through xVT packout until the completion of post ramp qualification. You drive the packaging development process across functional stakeholders including product, marketing, supply chain, packaging engineering, suppliers, and contract manufacturers. An operational scope is required, with experience in consumer packaging including printing, corrugate, forming processes, color controls, qualification, packaging raw materials, yields, product configuration, and new process qualification. You are the type of person who proactively identifies gating decisions, gathers data inputs, drives down selection, and reports on program progress. You contribute to ROI on architectural and material selections resulting in packaging which balance user experience, product branding, manufacturability, and cost to market.

What you'll do:
· Lead eero’s packaging new product introduction
· Drive packaging structure architecture down-selection
· Create packaging release schedule to define and deliver a best in class out of box experience
· Triage the new SKU requests from Sales and Marketing for emerging markets
· Own the packaging landed cost per unit
· Work with marketing, ID, suppliers, and product to define and deliver a best in class out of box experience
· Own the capacity, stand-up and execution of packout at the CM
· Commit to aligning packaging development schedule to device build schedules at CM
· Develop rapport with supplier partners and detailed knowledge of "how the factory works" its capabilities and limitations.
· Own the change control execution for packaging bill of materials
· Engage with manufacturing partners
· Develop and qualify packaging production processes at suppliers
· Coordinate builds, qualification tests, and prove packaging meets quality and functionality
· Design of experiments to resolve fit, transfer, transportation issues.
· Support coverage in region with travel up to 2 trips per quarter to Asia to drive issue resolution and/or support build/ramp activities
· Lead weekly Packaging Core meetings and supplier development meetings.
· Lead bi-weekly calls with CM/Supplier based in South East Asia
· Commit to delivery of packaging to build readiness for packout processes for production.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
· Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
· 5+ years of technical program management experience
· 5+ years in consumer retail consumer electronic packaging industry having direct responsibility to deliver products which sit on retail store shelf
·
· Experience with thermoform, sheet forming, molded pulp, foldex box, greyboard wrap, and corrugated cardboard.
·
· BS or MS in Ecnomics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing
·
· Exceptional communication skills via brevity and details; able to distill information to communicate to appropriate audience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Understanding of Asia business culture
·
· Attention to detail without becoming lost in the details
·
· Mandarin Chinese language and/or Vietnamese language is a plus.
