We are seeking a senior back end software engineer to join our team of passionate and driven developers at Facilitron, an innovative, well-funded Silicon Valley startup experiencing explosive growth in the event spaces rental market. Founded in 2014 and funded by top venture capital firms and technology entrepreneurs, Facilitron has created a cloud-based rental business management platform and marketplace that connects public spaces operators like schools and cities with the multi-billion dollar market of individuals and organizations who rent spaces for athletic programs and events, performing arts and entertainment, religious, educational and cultural programs, and other community events across the U.S. As a relatively small organization, Facilitron still offers plenty of opportunity for career advancement as you help us build and expand our market and rapidly blaze the path towards unicorn-level valuation.

Contribute to a Flagship SaaS Product

As a core member of our engineering team, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting elegant, scalable cloud solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences by leveraging problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail to tackle exciting projects across our flagship SaaS product. This includes developing innovative UI/UX features, providing ongoing support for the existing platform, and spearheading the development of our React Native mobile applications. Possessing a strong work ethic and a results-oriented mindset, you'll excel in both independent and collaborative settings.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience developing enterprise grade Node.js web applications with MongoDB as the backend database.
• Solid understanding of fundamental web technologies such as HTTP, REST, AJAX, and JSON
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / ES6
• Expert level understanding of distributed systems
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Excellent knowledge of full web stack interactions
• Excellent communication skills
