On our consumer side we are rethinking event transportation to make it easier on fans to avoid drinking and driving, traffic, lack of parking, and outrageous parking prices. On the B2B side we are in the business of creating unique team outing experiences, fulfilling business transportation needs, and handling shuttle operations.
Job Description: We’re searching for someone to be in a dual position of CFO/COO to join our team of high-performing professionals to help keep our finances insightful and instrumental to our success. The CFO/COO will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. This seasoned strategist not only understands current accounting practices and trends, but has proven experience raising capital and growth. As a member of our senior management, he or she will be comfortable in a leadership role that demands clear communication and presentation skills.
CFO Responsibilities
- Responsible in conjunction with CEO, for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, helping to drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs
- Coordinate the development of the annual operating, capital, and program budgets, and reporting against the same
- Ensure cash flow is compatible with company operations, by overseeing the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities of the organization
- Lead the development and use of best-practice policies, practices, and tools that ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management, project management, cross team communications and workflow
- Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing compliance, and taking action
- Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Work with the senior management to efficiently develop proposal budgets, provide access to project finance information, and manage contract/grant compliance and reporting
- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement
- Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives
- Oversee HR function, coordinating with external service providers (payroll, benefits, and general HR) and internal staff responsible for various aspects of HR
- Monitor performance with tracking, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting for earnings calls, the management team, and the rest of the company
- Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service, State Attorney General, and other relevant regulations
- Work with CEO to plan, develop, structure, and time fundraising rounds and other capital raising activities..This will consist of contributing to slide decks and due diligience business planning and forcasting.
COO Responsibilities
- Provide management to staff and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company’s business plan and overall strategic vision.
- Assist executive team members in creating, growing and building a world class, industry leading organization.
- Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the CEO and other key executive team members.
- Set challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance and profitability.
- Create effective measurement tools to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external processes.
- Provide accurate and timely reports outlining the operational condition of the company.
- Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
- Works with other c-level executives on budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation programs.
- Work closely with senior management team to create, implement and roll out plans for operational processes, internal infrastructures, reporting systems and company policies all designed to foster growth, profitably and efficiencies within the company.
- Motivate and encourage employees at all levels as one of the key leaders in the company including but not limited to professional staff, management level employees and executive leadership team members.
- Forge strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, banks, investors and all other professional business relationships.
- Work with the CEO in the capital raise process, participate in the company’s road shows. Meet, interact and present information effectively to potential investors and private equity firms.
- Foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Master’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance preferred
- 5+ years experience in executive leadership positions
- Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Exceptional executive presence, business acumen and presentation skills.
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
- Working knowledge of raising capital beyond traditional lines of credit
- Budgeting and/or financial focused mindset
