Test Automation Engineer (Senior & Staff level only)

As a result of the business continuing to experience rapid growth, we are seeking four new Test Automation Engineers to join our team. Ideally, you will have 5+ years of automation testing experience. You will pair with our current team of five to learn our existing Ruby/React-based applications and Python-based services. In order to be successful in this role, you need to be hands-on with automation of frontend UI and backend services. This includes optimizing our existing automation framework based on Capybara/SitePrism/RSpec into better automation coverage, re-implementing automation for separate services, and suggesting or building new automation frameworks to support newly created micro services.

How You Will Make An Impact:

• Design and implement test automation frameworks to automate most manual use cases of the applications and/or services
• Take a lead role in integrating test automation suites into Travis CI/CD
• Maintain and improve automation code to identify issues earlier in the SDLC
• You raise the bar and make peers better; leading by example, and through design and code reviews and feedback

Deliverables You Will Be Measured On:

• Consistently plan and test features to support releases at least every 2 weeks on applications working in Ruby, React, and/or Python and deployed on AWS
• Be proactive; you are always looking for ways to improve, yourself, your team, the technology
• Provide quality code with the understanding that detailed documentation is critical
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve defects using tracking tools like Jira
• Work closely with internal support teams
• Understand business requirements including integration of third party applications

What We Are Looking For:

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years API development and/or UI test automation, with a desire to become an expert at test automation
• Experience leading automation & manual testing, functional, regression, load, performance, stress & unit testing, and web, mobile & desktop testing
• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools like Selenium Webdriver, Appium, RSpec, PyTest, Cypress, JMeter
• Experience working with source code control systems like Git, SVN and build tools
• Experience working with Docker containers in test automation and manual testing
• Experience running performance and scalability tests
• Python and Ruby test development experience preferred
• FinTech experience, especially in the lending space
• Experience working in small agile teams with short sprints
