The Role

At 414, we're looking for an amazing Sustainability Analyst working with EU Finance Regulations to join our team.

We are revolutionising the financial sector. Ready to make an impact?

At 414, our goal is to change the way the financial sector invests. We aim to reduce greenwashing and stimulate financing activities with a real positive impact. We accomplish this by building a web application based on new EU regulations for the financial industry to better understand the sustainability of investment portfolios.

About the adventure

Several companies have already successfully used our tool and we need your help to scale up. We are looking for a (young) professional to join our startup in a full-time capacity. As an analyst, you will play a crucial role in building the next version of our online platform - a tool for investment funds to work with complex EU sustainability regulations (In jargon: Taxonomy Regulation, SFDR and CSRD). You will be working closely with our Product Owner (Ella) and our partner companies to make sure the tool gets ready to be used by more investment funds.

What you might do on a regular day:

  • Help us move from our current MVP to an independently functioning web application
  • Improve and update user journeys
  • Create appealing dashboards for customers
  • Help them allocate more capital towards sustainable solutions
  • Have lunch breaks at our favourite falafel or halloumi place
  • Have loads of fun!

About you

You are a smart diligent problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset. You know how to adapt to the unexpected while working in an agile team or are eager to learn and contribute to a growing start-up. As we are building a business to make a positive impact on the world, integrity, transparency and honesty are our core values.

Extra points if you bring this with you:.

  • A Master's degree that enables you to work with EU regulation, user journeys and sustainability metrics
  • A few years of work experience
  • You are able to understand and interpret complex regulations, data or systems and turn it into something simple
  • You have a personal drive to halt climate change and a passion for sustainability
  • You are eager to collaborate and communicate
  • You appreciate a good lunch break

What we offer:

Experience what is like to work for a tech start-up that aims to make a positive impact in the financial sector, together in our small but international team with a diverse range of backgrounds and skillsets.

  • An exciting adventure where you get to be part of a start-up in the early stages, including a competitive salary
  • The opportunity to shape the our company culture
  • A steep learning curve, with lots of responsibility and opportunities to pick up tasks you're interested in
  • A positive work culture where everything can be discussed openly
  • The freedom to structure the way you work as you like

Don't tick all the boxes? Don't worry! We welcome applications from all educational backgrounds, cultures, genders, sexual orientations and races. Even if you believe you are missing some skills but are eager and willing to learn, we will consider your application. The only important note is that you must be eligible to work in the Netherlands and can come to the office in Utrecht a few days per week.
