The Role

At ORR Personnel, we are always looking to strengthen our organization by adding the best available talent to our staff. We’re seeking a Employment Specialist to help us with job placement for students and graduates who complete our programs. The employment specialist would also be responsible for sourcing, identifing, screening, and hiring individuals for various roles our clients need filled in our Employer network & Recruitment & staffing division. This also includes recruitment duties for internal staff as well.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, 2-3 years’ experience in talent acquisition, recruitment and job placement, proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems and can adapt to new systems, and the ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants. This role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills as you’ll often be asked to work closely with others across different departments. The Employment Specialist at ORR Personnel must have a strong commitment to staying abreast of recruitment trends and serves as a brand ambassador.
Objectives of this Role:
• Create and implement end-to-end candidate hiring processes to ensure a positive experience.
• Ensure the staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term talent strategy in mind.
• Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear candidate/interviewer expectations.
• Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants, such as employer branding initiatives.
• Input into overall hiring strategy of the organization to ensure our teams consist of a diverse set of qualified individuals.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
• Coordinate start details with candidate and client.
• Assess candidates’ information, including C.Vs., portfolios and references.
• Conduct phone calls or meetings to create a shortlist of qualified candidates.
• Identify needs of the learning center to recruit students for the learning center.

• Maintain accurate data entry of new hire information into appropriate systems.
• Potentially onboard new starts for both clients, ORR personnel and ORR student learning.
• Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline.
• Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks.
• Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs in different areas and departments.
• Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position.
• Communicate background check / drug screen results in compliance with all state and Federal laws.
• Determine selection criteria for candidates by liaising with managers and other members of staff.
• Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews – if possible.
• Keep records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Work experience in talent acquisition or similar roles
• Experience in working in training centers or career development
• A keen understanding of the requirements for each role in the company
• Familiarity with social media, C.V. databases, and professional networks
• Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
• Experience in using LinkedIn Talent Solutions to proactively source candidates
• 2-3 years’ experience with full cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
