Inpel, an ed-tech company that is committed to improving the quality and decreasing the cost of online higher education, is currently recruiting a Front-End Engineer to its core development team. Inpel is seeking a Front-End developer with strong React.js and "vanilla" JavaScript expertise. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to transform a brand new higher-education e-learning platform from a prototype state to a scalable and secure enterprise solution that will power an accredited college. They will develop technical solutions for students and internal customers in all departments, influencing the future of the organization.

We are 100% remote.

Our ideal candidate's professional interests will include front-end web technologies (HTML / CSS / JavaScript) and React, user experience in application interfaces from design to implementation, streaming video, and web application security. Additional experience building RESTful APIs or other server side programming is strongly desired. Our backend systems are written in JavaScript, using the Express framework. We will also be doing some minor integrations with WordPress, so PHP knowledge would be nice to have, but not required. Experience working with MySQL, Mongo, or Redis is also helpful.
