Lead Frontend Engineer

Summary

HARNESS is hiring a Lead Frontend Engineer to join our engineering team. You will have a key role in developing advanced components and UX, enhancing the digital experience for our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a small and highly capable team on cutting-edge solutions in the fast-moving PropTech space.

About HARNESS
Harness Data intelligence (HARNESS) is on a mission to turn unstructured data into actionable insight, helping clients make better decisions and higher returns. As data enablers, we help innovators in commercial real estate, insurance and Financial Services maximise the returns of previously untapped, highly valuable data sets.

The Role
Our core products are built on advanced data modelling and machine learning, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining fantastic user interfaces to sit on top of these technologies. You will report into the Head of Engineering and work closely with UX Designers and other engineers to produce frontend components, thinking about accessibility, usability and implementation. You will be a self-starter, able to work independently and as part of the team. You will be client-focused and be keen to get involved in every stage of the development process.

• Are a good communicator and able to give and receive constructive feedback in order to improve the product offering
• Are excited by the possibility of proposing an idea and having the freedom to implement it

Your Qualities

• 10+ years relevant software development experience
• Expert knowledge of modern HTML, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience working with multiple frameworks (Nuxt is preferable).
• Ability to work with modern REST APIs.
• Experience building scalable, highly available UI applications.
• Ability to work closely with UX Designers to translate designs into frontend components.
• Passionate about writing bug free code to a high standard.
• As Lead Frontend Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
