Your role
We are looking for a Head/VP of Marketing to build a world-class marketing function and grow/lead the existing team at Firefly Health. This is an exciting opportunity to show the world what's possible when you launch a new kind of health plan, with care at its core and powered by a hybrid, "clicks and bricks" health network.
We're looking for someone with extensive B2B2C brand and growth experience, who is ready to help us unveil what the health care and coverage system of the future looks like. This role will be responsible for driving B2B/B2B2C demand, further developing our brand presence as a new healthcare category, and ultimately achieving our revenue targets via new and proven marketing channels.
The ideal candidate has clear, demonstrable experience as a metrics-driven, quota-carrying Enterprise B2B2C marketer, previously built and led an exemplary brand, and can succeed in a startup environment. You are empowered by new challenges and are looking to be part of a senior leadership team that leads the company to deliver half priced healthcare that's twice as good throughout America, making a dent in the socioeconomic fabric of the country while building a massively valuable company.
You will:
- Drive full stack marketing efforts across brand, demand generation, member growth, and product marketing
- Build and manage a high-functioning B2B and B2B2C (Member Growth) team across multiple disciplines and levels, including inside sales
- Establish a unique brand identity, collaborating with the CEO to elevate our thought leadership through creative, industry-changing messaging and positioning our CEO, Chief Clinical Officer, and other senior leaders as experts in the employer health, benefits, and digital health spaces
- Create scalable approaches to increase revenue growth, driving all inbound + outbound lead gen efforts and planning, executing, and measuring results
- Establish ideal customer targets and develop appropriate messaging and content to reach those targets and achieve desired results across all channels and mediums.
- Regularly contribute to quarterly board meetings
- Empower a fast growing sales team to truly stand out in a busy market, and close deals quickly
- Refine and enhance outcomes in order to improve campaign performance
You’d be a good fit if you have:
- 12+ years of Enterprise B2B/B2B2C marketing experience. Strongly preferred to have experience with long, seasonal buying cycles such as HR benefits
- Demonstrated broad and well-developed functional marketing skills in a dynamic industry
- Proven strategic thinker and innovative communications leader with an ability to lead the development of programs that are distinctive, relevant, creative, measurable and aligned to the strategic direction of the business
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in storytelling with executive (C-suite) and consumer communications
- Ability to establish meaningful metrics and scorecards for gauging program effectiveness and oversee the development and management of budgets, team structure, and reporting
- Experience in building a team and identifying/managing agencies or freelancers
- High level of knowledge in using Salesforce, marketing automation (eg Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot), Outreach.io, and other martech tools
- Proven ability to juggle many tasks, move forward in ambiguous situations, and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic, collaborative environment
