We are looking for an experienced professional with a background in front-end development using a Javascript/Rails technology stack.

Job Overview

We are looking for a senior developer (5+ years of experience) who has:

  • 2+ years of experience with Ember/React/Angular
  • Comfortable mentoring and guiding other developers

Successful applicants will have a history of learning new technologies and working effectively in a team environment. We’re looking for someone who loves pragmatic, clean solutions and is comfortable working with a rapid, continuous deployment environment.

Our product roadmap involves solving problems in the areas of mapping, geospatial databases, workflow management, external integrations, data analysis, accessibility and more.

** We’ll expect you to (be)**

  • Able to design UI/UX experiences for customer facing products
  • Comfortable working on a full-time remote team or from any one of our office locations.
  • Willing to develop in a pairing environment
  • Familiar with testing methodologies and frameworks, including TDD (test driven development)
  • Familiar with building and shipping production applications, including CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment).
  • Comfortable with git or other revision control systems

What you'll need to succeed

  • Senior developer (5+ years of experience) who has:
  • 2+ years of experience with Ember/React/Angular
  • UI/UX web design experience (mobile experience a plus)
  • Experience with HTTP based APIs such as REST, JSONAPI, GraphQL
  • Experience with GIS mapping systems or APIs
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable work experience

Above and Beyond

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Familiarity with Postgres or other SQL databases in a production environment
  • Experience in cloud-based application design, development and deployment ***
