Role Description:
We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator. You will join a team responsible for the availability, reliability, architecture, security and day-to-day operations of our SaaS environment - spanning multiple datacenters and countries.
In this role you will be expected to implement complex projects, assist in developing the environment's architecture, answer questions from junior administrators, keep least privileges security practices in mind, and troubleshooting outages all while working great on a team as well as independently. We are actively expanding into Europe and into other parts of the world. We are looking for talented and hard working individuals who could assist in our growing environment. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in high availability design
Automate complex systems
Windows Server procurement, installation, configuration, hardening and administration
Management of IP addresses, Domains, DNS
Continuous monitoring and response to advanced threats, performance and health
Tuning of IIS, Windows, Server Hardware to resolve complex performance issues
Architect, deploy and maintain servers, security infrastructure and tools
Research and analyze potential new threats, attack vectors and risks and implement proactive mitigations
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis in a high pressure environment
24x7 On-Call rotation to support resolution of acute issues
SSL certificate management
Patching of networking equipment
Capacity planning
Mentoring and teaching junior team members
Ensure backup and disaster recovery plan has been implemented and regularly tested
Knowledge of PCI best practices and ability to assist with audits
Produce and maintain relevant documentation including run-books, processes and diagrams
The candidate should have extensive experience working with these technologies:
Windows Server (DFS, FSRM, ADFS, AD, Group Policy, IIS, SMTP, PKI, NPS)
Load Balancing (HAProxy)
DNS (Geo-locational routing and high availability)
Servers (Supermicro)
Networking (Juniper, pfSense, Unifi, VLAN, LAG, OSPF, VRRP, 802.1x, 802.11, ACLs, VTI, OpenVPN)
IPS (SNORT)
Vulnerability scanning and remediation (Tenable, Qualys)
Hyperconverged Virtualization (ESXi, Hyper-V)
Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Core datacenter infrastructure (racking, security, power, cooling, fiber, etc)
Solid understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals, including HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, SMTP, SFTP, NTP, SMB
These additional qualifications would be preferred:
6+ years in a System Administration role as a generalist
Scripting for automation, system maintenance and administration experience using PowerShell, Python and others
CCNA or equivalent certification
Bachelor’s degree in CS/CIS or equivalent work experience
