Full-stack Engineer

MediaMelon are looking for an exceptional Senior Full Stack Engineer with a proven record of delivering consistently in high growth and high scale environment. This role is expected to play a vital role in supporting high growth business, drive innovation and deliver the next generation of highly scalable, modular and extensible Big Data Platform technologies. This is a unique opportunity offering a mix of individual contribution and leadership. The role will suit someone who prefers to be hands-on and comfortable leading a team of Backend and Frontend developers

What you’ll do:
• Lead the team and contribute individually to optimize and build industry leading big data solutions and highly responsive front-end web application
• Continuously evolve/improve MediaMelon backend & frontend stack to ensure it is aligned to the Product Roadmap and meets internal SLAs
• Ensure execution of technology/product roadmap with top quality and clear SLA
• Own the development cycle within your team (Frontend, Backend & QA), from scoping through to sign-off
• Mentor junior colleagues by leading from example. Be hands on in writing code to agreed standards
• Run efficient tests, understand why to test it, and know how to write meaningful tests

What you’ll bring to the table:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in two of the following Java, Scala, ReactJS
• 5+ years of experience with big data tools such as Apache Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Flink, BigQuery, etc
• 3+ years of experience working with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure
• Experience in designing REST APIs and No SQL databases
• Ability to work with ambiguity and operationalize emerging technologies
• Should be able to work in the role of an individual contributor in the team
• Experience overseeing other engineering & QA staff and giving actionable design feedback
• Excellent debugging skills and the ability to write API & unit tests.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills
• Customer Obsession, Proactive and out-of-box thinking, exemplary leadership skills to inspire the team, and drive innovation at the grass-root level
