React Frontend Engineer

Using voice and natural user inputs, Josh.ai makes it easy to control your whole home's lighting, music, TV, shades, garage, locks, sprinklers, cameras, and more.

Essential Job Functions:
Implement and maintain features in Josh’s React web application and internal tools
Work closely with the design team and key stakeholders to ensure the user experience meets release criteria
Troubleshoot and problem-solve across platform and application domains
Suggest application architecture improvements and recommend process improvements
Champion changes to tools and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the development team
Document processes for use by other application developers

Required Skills:
3+ years of software engineering experience
4-year degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Experience in React.js, jQuery or different modern front-end application framework
Experience in HTML5/CSS3
Proven ability to develop applications with complex requirements and networking layers

Bonus Skills:
Experience with security and data privacy best practices
Experience with React.js testing frameworks
Experience with Shopify and Zoho
Experience with NodeJs
Experience with DevOps and deployment technologies and tools
Knowledge of an agile team environment, process, and tools
