About the job
As a Local Dance Guide at WeDance, you will be the primary point of contact for managing and moderating the content on our platform for your assigned city. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our platform remains an accurate, engaging, and welcoming space for the local dance community. You will work closely with other team members to maintain high standards of content quality and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Management:
- Curate, update, and maintain localized content, including event listings, announcements, and guides.
- Ensure the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of all published content.
- Community Engagement:
- Actively interact with users to foster a positive and active community environment.
- Respond to queries and comments on the "Ask Locals" page and other communication channels.
- Translation and Localization:
- Identify the primary languages spoken in your city.
- Ensure that all content is accurately translated and localized for the local audience.
- Collaborate with translators or use translation tools to maintain high language quality.
- Regularly review translated content for accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and clarity.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular audits of the website content to ensure consistency and quality.
- Address any content-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Monitor user feedback and implement necessary changes to improve user experience.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Content Creator, Community Manager, and other relevant team members.
- Provide insights and feedback to improve content strategies and community engagement.
- Event Coordination:
- Ensure all local dance events are accurately listed and promoted on the platform.
- Collaborate with local event organizers to gather and verify event information.
Qualifications:
- Local Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the local dance scene, including popular styles, venues, and events.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with users and partners. Proficiency in the primary languages spoken in your city.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using website management tools.
- Customer Service: Experience in customer service or community management is a plus.
