About the job
- Performs active sales and market development activities, within the assigned geographical area, for Reefer business and for the applicable niche segments2. Conducts client visits, alone or jointly with Sales3. Responds to requests for quotation with appropriate commercial offer, and/or offers full support to Sales in finding appropriate solution and offer, in combination with pricing4. Offers full support when company participates in tenders5. Follows up on the offers and collects feedback from the client or Sales6. Reports all sales activities, including details about potential business and decision makers, in CRM7. To take up additional assignments/tasks as assigned Commercial responsibility: 1. Responsible for the financial result of the Sea Import & Export Reefer profit centres related to the assigned geographical area2. Responsible for achieving budget targets defined for the department3. Responsible for correct and compliant Bordero handling4. Responsible for set-up and continuous improvement of work-flow and operational procedures within the department5. Monitors KPIs and takes corrective actions if needed Product responsibility: 1. Manages company’s Reefer business within the assigned geographical area, including it’s niche segments if applicable (e.g. Pharma, Flexi Tank, Tank Container, Foodstuff, Perishables, etc)2. Implements corporate and national product strategy and SOPs within own department3. Develops the business within own profit centre-gain additional business from existing or new clients4. Sources and negotiates buying conditions (prices and space allocations) with third parties for business in charge5. Issues obligatory instructions and information towards own team, monitors compliance 6. Develops quality constantly, also in view of IFS, GDP and ISO certifications7. Manages and develops global agent relationships for business in charge, in coordination with the functional superior General responsibility: 1. Communicates in a polite and professional manner 2. Handles with good faith in the interest of the company3. Respects all internal rules and regulations, as well as country’s law4. Shows diplomacy when handling conflict situations. Request written opinion and escalate the problem as soon solution is beyond own authority level5. Performs additional tasks, assigned by the employer as per employee’s qualification and role, according to company’s operational needs6. Uses company’s goods and equipment’s according to their destination, and only in the interest of the job7. Does not disclose own passwords, nor passes on access card or key to
### Minimum Education /Qualifications/Experience - University degree in Business Administration/ Logistics or equivalent
- At least 4years in Sea freight Reefer in terms of:
- Operations
- Product implementation and communication to sales and operation
- Supplier negotiations and personal contacts
- Key account sales and business development
Special Knowledge
- Freight forwarding industry
- Basic computer knowledge / skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- AS400 & FM3000 know-how in related functions.
- S.P.O.T. know-how and ability to demonstrate internally / externally
- Fluent in English language
