About the job

The Millennial Source, TMS, (themilsource.com) is looking for a marketing head to join our growing team! This member will play a pivotal role in the creation and execution of both marketing programs and B2B/branded campaigns.

We’re looking for a creative and strategic leader with experience building media brands and communities through digital media and stories. You aren’t afraid to try different marketing strategies but can also draw from a track record of prior marketing campaign success.

Note: This position is part time with an opportunity to be full-time in several months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the CEO in the development, execution, and evolution of the audience growth tactics, inclusive of management and implementation of the paid media budget, forecasting, channel/vendor testing strategies, creative/messaging development, and performance benchmarks.
  • Lead and assist execute strategy and exploration into new acquisition verticals and tactics.
  • Develop and execute marketing programs that drive product adoption and user referrals.
  • Work closely with our CEO to help craft and further define an audience-first strategy to identify and establish sustainable, ongoing relationships with our audience to hit our growth goals.
  • Work with the broader team to drive new diverse audiences to our platforms.
  • Analyze feedback and metrics to develop and refine creative and messaging that best articulates product value.
  • Develop social media strategies and community growth plans and work with the broader marketing team to support execution.
  • Ensure that all marketing materials meet are fact-checked, meet quality standards and aligns with TMS’ voice prior to publishing.
  • Lead monthly marketing meetings, reporting on the month’s performance and future growth goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with agencies, partners and press teams.
  • Develop client campaign activation and campaign delivery with the CEO. Work with the broader marketing team to develop consumer marketing goals for brand campaigns as needed.
  • Analyzing all client campaign performance metrics and making recommendations for how to iterate based on the data.
  • Actively contribute to the professional development of an ambitious, smart, and nimble team.
  • WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU

  • 3+ years of professional experience in audience development, content marketing, social media, advertising, journalism or another relevant field.

  • Experience utilizing analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Console, SEMRush, and other social media tools to gather traffic and engagement data on content.

  • Experience managing paid social Facebook and Twitter media campaigns, including generation of creative, building of audience targeting, and managing of budget.

  • Experience running marketing campaigns, which drive product adoption and user referrals.

  • Familiarity with and interest in branded content and native advertising.

  • Strong writing, editing and fact-checking skills, with the ability to distill performance data into clear learnings and generate effective copy for headlines and social media promotion.

  • Ability to balance day-to-day marketing and campaign matters with longer-term projects

  • 2+ years people management experience

  • Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented
