Data Science and ML Developet - Pharmaceutical Sciences

At Oxcitas our mission is to unravel the biological mechanisms surrounding the remarkable anticancer abilities and extended lifespan of long-lived mole rats, including the blind subterranean mole rat and Spalax. By elucidating these mechanisms that evolution has created in Spalax, we are working to translate our findings into therapeutic interventions which tackle cancer, metabolic disorders and other diseases of ageing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Machine Learning Developer to join our rapidly growing team in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

You will be part of an exciting team responsible for developing our cloud-based analytics platform, as well as rapid prototypes and proofs of concept

This role is a permanent full-time role based in Cambridge, UK.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and validating machine learning models in Python and packages such as tensorflow and keras
• Feature extraction, correlation and pre-processing from a range of data sources (scipy and open-cv)
• Integrating cloud APIs and data services
• Building rapid prototypes and proofs of concept
• Taking part in agile and continuous improvement processes
