About the job
We’re seeking talented PHP developers to join a small team responsible for leading on the improvement and maintenance of our growing and highly successful SaaS product. If you’re keen to take responsibility for core features, contribute ideas to major technical decisions, and play a key role in defining the overall standard of technology at the company, then we are the team for you!
Our product is used by some of the world’s largest corporations to help manage their charitable giving programmes. It’s fully customisable, and is used to facilitate the activities of thousands of employees around the world in different time zones, languages, and currencies. This means that as a developer at GivingForce, there’s never a shortage of exciting technical challenges to sink your teeth into.
Why you should join the team:
A philosophy of working when, where and how best suits you - flexible hours with full remote working from anywhere in the world between GMT to GMT+6, or from one of our offices in London (UK), Sofia (Bulgaria), and Pune (India) if you prefer.
Open-minded and collaborative colleagues, with a small team structure and inspiring leadership keen to explore new ideas and approaches.
A culture of responsibility and ownership, where you’ll be trusted to put forward and lead on new ideas and initiatives.
The opportunity (but not obligation) to take on management and leadership positions.
Our tech stack:
Our core product is built on the LAMP platform, and uses the Zend framework. We currently use Bootstrap and a lot of jQuery on the front end, but are in the process of transitioning to React. We also use Node.js for some features / projects.
What we need from you:
- Confidence in speaking English, with strong communication skills and the ability to discuss and understand complicated technical issues.
- Open-mindedness, flexibility, and the confidence to ask questions and contribute ideas.
- High standards in all aspects of your work, with an interest in best practices and the desire to always produce the best possible results.
- A proven record of designing and developing complex systems for the web in a professional environment using PHP and Zend or another similar framework.
- Good experience with and knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience using jQuery and other core web technologies.
- A genuine passion for designing and building software for the web!
Salary is competitive and dependent on experience. The package also comes with private health insurance.
If you’re excited by this opportunity and think you’d be a good fit, then we look forward to seeing your application!
