DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Operations

Define, build and maintain scalable workflows for our compute intensive machine learning workloads on-prem and in cloud environments. Support an exceptional team of machine learning engineers

Job Description

• Maintain and expand our on-prem GPU & CPU server infrastructure, from hardware to kubernetes cluster management
• Own our CI/CD pipelines (based on Gitlab)
• Manage our data storage and associated synchronization processes as well as standardized development templates and configuration management
• Implement multi-node distribution for specific ML workloads on the infrastructure layer (e.g. scaling reinforcement learning jobs to thousands of CPU cores)

Who we are looking for

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker (Helm, Skaffold, Rancher Kubernetes Engine, Amazon Kubernetes Service)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Gcloud, Azure)
• Python programming skills, emphasis on backend related technologies (e.g. Flask, MongoDB, SQLAlchemy, Airflow)
• Familiarity with standard workflows in software development (Git, issue management, Documentation, unit testing, CI/CD)
• Basic data engineering knowledge (SQL and noSQL databases, distributed systems)
• Degree in computer science (BSc/MSc) or equivalent work experience (e.g. HTL)
• 2 years of work experience in data-driven environments
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Valid work permit for Austria
