Full-time AR Product Designer

Summary of Position:
Octi is seeking a full-time Product Designer for our camera-based mobile platform. This person will lead the creation of fun and compelling content, turning conceptual ideas into valuable and usable features. The role will heavily influence the look, feel, and voice of the platform and community during growth periods.
The candidate should possess exceptional creativity and working knowledge of trends in pop culture and be highly comfortable in communicating concepts to team members and establishing a creative and consistent voice. Must be able to present ideas and prototype concepts in AR.
This role will work directly with our design and development team and report to our Senior Designer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and communicate fun and original concepts for the core elements of the app
• Prototype concepts in AR (iOS)
• Responsible for executing concepts from start to finish through a clear design process.
  
• Manage internal and external design resources to drive projects to completion
• Stay well-informed on the latest trends and developments in user experience, social platforms features and technologies, and brand/marketing ideas

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in design, computer science, marketing/communications, or other creative fields
• 2+ years of experience building creative content and digital elements (for web, apps, live events, AR/VR)
• Exceptional communication skills and familiarity with design and prototyping applications
• Familiarity with typical development frameworks and game engines such as Unreal and/or Unity
• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research
• Experience working in a technical environment with a team

Location:
Based out of our LA office, but we are currently working remote until further notice
