Senior Facilities Manager

Job objective: This is an exciting role in a growing company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience planning facilities projects and managing day-to-day activities across the various company facilities, maintenance, and support for all properties. In this role, you will be responsible for facilities project schedules, budgets, and compliance to standards in both office and manufacturing space.

Duties

• Coordinate the operational aspects of the building systems in multiple facilities location in a manner which protects, maintains and improves the productivity of the company
• Understand and maintain facilities compliance with laws, codes and regulations
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop facilities strategy that supports the business growth at three or more locations in the US
• Incorporate best practices, creative design solutions and alternatives
• Implement preventive, ongoing and anticipated maintenance/repair programs
• Participate in the company's strategic plans related to facilities expansion in both office space and manufacturing
• Manage all facilities projects cost and schedule by industry best practices
• Primary contact for and oversight of third-party vendor contracted services
• Monitor performance per scopes of work and contractual agreements
• Oversight of facilities related safety elements
• Negotiate lease terms and improvements required to support business operations

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Building Systems (Electrical, HVAC, Communications, Environmental, etc)
• Experience in organizing and managing construction projects in commercial buildings especially in manufacturing and engineering development companies
• Proficient in AutoCAD and experience reading drawings
• Ability to use facts and data to make decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication of both technical and non-technical information
• Proven success in negotiating contracts with vendors and 3rd party service companies
• Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• BS degree in an Engineering discipline, Facilities or Business Administration
• 6+ years of related experience in facilities management
• US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in DoD industry with physical and IT security requirements
• Knowledge of building automation systems
• Knowledge of production and manufacturing trades
• Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
