Lead Programmer

4-month contract: We are looking for a Lead Programmer to lead our technology strategy and develop our digital products. This is a great opportunity for a full stack developer to build products from scratch and harness their skills to empower some of the world’s most underprivileged communities. Please note that this is a temporary opportunity with potential to convert to a permanent position at the end of April 2021.

Roles and responsibilities
• Tech strategy and planning
o Develop technology strategy to build MVPs of 3 digital products
o Co-lead product design and development with Founder & CEO, providing technology expertise • Build user interface for 3 digital products
o Build demo-ready user interface for 3 MVPs, iterating closely with Unseen Insight team and market research participants

Required
• 3-5 years’ relevant work experience as a full-stack developer, building UIs
• In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design and development
• Hands on experience with complex project and team management
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Effective negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proactive problem solver
• Attention to detail
• UK work authorisation up to April 2021

Preferred
• Knowledge of data extraction and machine learning techniques
• Previous start-up experience as a product developer
• Previous work experience with social enterprises or charitable organisations
