Investors succeed when startups succeed. Our goal is to improve the odds of startup success by building robust infrastructure for the venture economy. This infrastructure supports offerings like AngelList Syndicates, The Collective, Angel Funds, and RUVs. We have driven capital to more than 800 startups since 2018 and support over $250M in assets for our investors. We also work closely with EquityList to offer specialised tools to startups for stakeholder management. What we look for

While hiring, we look for a few things regardless of role, experience-level and skill set. We first assess a candidate for energy, intellect and curiosity. We then gauge if they will thrive in (and hopefully elevate) a culture like ours, where people are expected to cultivate and exercise good judgment, have a bias for action, be relentlessly driven, and sustain high performance over long periods of time.

Technical Abilities

Frontend

• 4-5 years of experience in Frontend Development.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS (Bonus).
• Good understanding of responsive design and UX principles.
• Basic understanding of GraphQL and API integration (Bonus).
• Strong attention to detail and design aesthetics.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Backend

• 4-5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of SQL database design and management.
• Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms for deployment, server management, and infrastructure.
• Experience with setting up and managing data pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Basic understanding of GraphQL (Bonus).
