Back end developer

Miappi is a fast growing and well-funded UK tech company servicing a global client base. Our SaaS platform empowers brands to discover authentic consumer stories, manage the digital rights to that content and to distribute the most impactful media to marketing channels and ecommerce.

We are looking for a back end developer to join the team of three other developers, working remotely on the continued development of the platform including building out new features.

Desired skills and experience

• Ability to take new features through to full production
• Good understanding of APIs with integration experience, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc.
• Experience with PHP 5.4+, MySQL, Memcached, Redis, and ElasticSearch
• Experience in working with Queued jobs
• Comfortable on the Command Line
• Worked with large datasets
• Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ( TypeScript )
• Framework experience; Codeigniter, Laravel, Lumen
• Willingness to work in a distributed team and to contribute to that team
• Accountable for your own actions and time, be professional and able to work with urgency and integrity
• Desire to learn new skills, technically curious and likes to keep up with technological developments
• Fluent in English with excellent written & verbal communication skills

You will be asked to provide example project/code samples that demonstrate the above, prior to a phone interview.
