Jobs at Coherence
As a technology leader building teams at startups over the last 15 years, I’ve had to solve the same problems over and again, across both infrastructure and process. In talking to my peers, the feeling of deja-vu is universal. In spite of the applicability of widely-accepted best practices (CI/CD, Infra as code, security, MVPs, iterative development, automation, monitoring/observability), each team goes through the same cycle across the industry. Generally the infrastructure always has gaps between what’s done and the “whitepaper” - because getting to “good enough” is what the business cares about and there’s work to be done that customers need. Coherence aims to build vertically integrated development experiences that involve orders-of-magnitude less “glue” and “yak shaving.” For us, vertical integration means understanding that the SDLC starts before code is written and ends after code is deployed. Our tools should make it easy to think about these needs holistically, to move between stages of them seamlessly, and to do better than “good enough” when configuring and managing them. When we look 10 years into the future, our hope is that software development will not involve so much configuration and coordination and that the day to day will be more seamless and magical. Ultimately development teams will be more inclusive and help companies get closer to what their users and customers need! We have founded Coherence because we’re excited to help make that future a reality. We believe that development teams in the 21st century should have a “10x” better toolkit that lets them focus on understanding and delivering value for their users. We’re excited to show you what that toolkit looks like. If you’re excited to help make these tools a reality and build a world class company, great!
