Stewart is one of the pioneers who turned video games into a business. He joined Electronic Arts in 1983 as one of the first employees. During his 12 years he produced many of Electronic Arts’ most successful titles including innovative software for music, paint, flight simulation and children’s education while collaborating with Chuck Yeager, Timothy Leary and Children’s Television Workshop. As SVP/GM of EA Studios he led the world’s largest interactive studio. Most recently he has been SVP Product at IMVU, a company where he was a seed investor 11 yr ago. He has been a Co-Founder of If You Can (with Trip Hawkins), AnyRiver Entertainment, There, Bix, ShortForm and is an Advisor to game companies. Stewart earned a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, received the 1993 Stanford Business School Entrepreneurial Company of the Year award as one of 5 EA executives, and voted Teacher Irritator, Senior Class Poll, San Mateo High School.
