At Otherlab, I developed two suites of CAD/CAM software which were sold to Autodesk for $10M and $6M. Algorithm design was shared between me and Martin Wicke (later my cofounder at Eddy). The software contained a variety of automatic and semi-automatic algorithms for repairing, modifying, and decomposing digital shapes for manufacturing.

In spare time, I wrote a massively distributed algorithm to strongly solve the board game pentago, both for fun and to increase my experience with parallel computation at scale (100k nodes). Because the asynchronous computation structure differed from the vast majority of supercomputer jobs, I was granted compute time at the National Energy Research Supercomputing Center. The results are published at http://arxiv.org/abs/1404.0743 and explorable at http://perfect-pentago.net. Pentago is the largest divergent game solved to date by two orders of magnitude.

From work at Pixar and Weta, I have screen credits on Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up, and Tintin.
