This initiative was further developed into a project of the B-Gifted Foundation. The support the victims of amputation encouraged victims of amputation to recover from traumatic experiences and emotions , enhance self esteem and body image restructuring. The project uses trauma healing, peace building and reconciliation techniques to enhance the ability of these victims to move pass their state of grief and to participate in the creation of a peaceful and inclusive community. The project also encouraged the support of amputee through micro-credit entrepreneurship to discover talents previously unknown to them

We’re a non-profit organization bringing free digital educational content to the world’s underprivileged children through community access ICT centres where they can learn skills, grow their minds and share their stories to the world.

The project's aim is to use ICT as tool to creating an inclusive society. The project is innovative because war victims whose arms and limbs were chopped… · More off during the war are for the first time given new lease of hope of access through access to technology which was not the case before. The project is helping to bridge the ‘digital divide’ and contribute to an inclusive information society by targeting an approximately 20,000 amputee war victims marginalized from information technology. The project is creating impact as it is giving war amputated victims a new voice through ICT tools and a way to learn skills with a potential for employment and empowerment, and a chance to bear witness to their plight

Our work demonstrate what can be achieved through sharing of peace and love via ICT and creativity in marginalized communities in Sierra Leone.

The child soldiers project has its root in a friendship between to educators from opposite ends of the Earth. Andrew Benson Greene from Sierra Leone and Canadian teacher Bill Belsey. The two never met in person until July of 2000 when Andrew Presented his ideas on peace building, conflict resolution and human rights in the 21st Century at an annual international conference hosted by IEARN in Beijing China. Throughout Andrew's workshops and presentations which Bill attended at the China Hall of Science and technology, the two were able to discuss what they can do to help the youth of Sierra Leone transformed from the agonies of war. the result was the collaborative and successful 'child soldiers project' which till date has touched the lives and heart of so many people. In 2002, the UN office for Displaced persons in NY considered it as a potential model to be used in four other countries affected by war.

Achievements
Over 550 amputee victims of war have been reached through the Digital hope project. 500 have been trained in innovations in technology which is currently related to sustainable economic activities through online products.
Through the Digital Hope project's innovation it is helping disadvantaged war victims improve their community living standards, excite the youth with results orientated exposure to new ideas and concepts, provide long term job opportunities in rural and sub-urban communities which were not there before. In addition, although the principal beneficiaries are war victims, (amputees), it has aided the communities with a Multimedia access center in rural communities who utilize the facilities in a cost-effective basis.
The project has been recognized locally and international as a model for other communities impacted by war. The Pan African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education through Teach a Man to Fish UK and the ITU Telecom Awards in Geneva recognized the project.
